Kronberg now Wizards' No. 2 goalie

Montgomery High and Cal product Eric Kronberg has been training in Argentina with the Kansas City Wizards.
Starting Wizards goalie, Kevin Hartman, is injured and Kronberg started four games during the trip and is now the No. 2 goalie on the team.
The Wizards played San Lorenzo (2-1, loss), Nueva Chicago (4-2, win), Boca Juniors (2-0, loss) and Defensa y Justicia (1-1).
All K.C. opponents except Defensa are in the top division of Argentinean soccer. San Lorenzo is in first place.
The Wizards were scheduled to return to Kansas City today after a three-week stay in South America.
Kronberg is on the 18-man senior roster for the Wizards.

Comment: I am glad that a local player is still making good in a very difficult league to stay in. I hope that he gets a shot to be the first keeper, because I think Eric is better than the new guy.

Comment: Bill, you left out one score: The Wizards beat River Plate 4-0 on March 21, also with Eric K in goal. Probably mostly, if not entirely, the River Plate reserve team but still quite an achievement for an MLS team-- which probably also played its reserves quite a bit.
